This page aims to inform you about our trips but first we would like to introduce you to Taiwan.

Tawian is an island situated on the coast of China with the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Formosa Straight on the other. The island is not bigger than Smaland and Skane of Sweden combined, but still, more than 22 million live on the island.

The capital of Taiwan is Taipei which is a metropolis that hosts the tallest building in the world, Taipei 101. Outside Taipei, at the National Palace Museum display thousands of antique Chinese artifacts that where brought to Taiwan by the Chinese Koumintang party in year 1949. That year, Chiang Kai-Shek, the leader of the Koumintang party was defeated by the Chinese communist party and Chiang Kai-Shek and some nationalist supporters fled to Taiwan. They declared themselves to be the rightful rulers of mainland China which created a conflict between China and Taiwan which is yet not solved.

The conflict between these two economies is not something that disturbs the everyday life in Taiwan. Even though Taiwan is highly populated there are many beautiful types of scenery to be seen. The Taroko gorge is a fascinating nature reserve with steep mountains of pure marble blocks and small clear rivers that find their way through the many gorges of this reserve. In the south of Taiwan you will find Kenting which can be compared to Hawaii with beautiful, long beaches and palm trees. There are good opportunities for surfing and windsurfing in this part of Taiwan. This is just a few out of many examples of sites to visit in Taiwan.
